Updated 4/11/2008:
There were 17 singles that directly responded to my solicitation concerning a preferred/agreed upon singles Feast site. Of those seventeen, 5 selected Cincinnati as their first choice and 4 selected Branson as their first choice.
Due to the low number of singles that have responded to my solicitation, we have decided not to make plans for a preferred/agreed upon singles Feast site for 2008. This does not mean that there won't be some organized singles activities at some sites. Perhaps it will be possible to try something like this in the future.
I want to thank those that responded with a choice for a preferred singles Feast site and I encourage all of you to help organize and participate in singles activities at each Feast site.

"Agreed Upon" Singles Feast Site
A number of single have expressed interest in having an agreed upon site where singles can gather this year at the Feast of Tabernacles.
UCG leadership will support the concept of such a site at the following locations:
Bend-Redmond, OR
Branson, MO
Bushkill (Poconos), PA
Cincinnati, OH/Northern KY
Escondido, CA
Kerrville, TX
There will be different conditions at each of these sites. Some sites will be able to provide a hospitality room each day at the meeting facility. Some sites will only be able to provide a hospitality room part of the time. Some of the sites have lodging options that would better serve the singles i.e. the singles could all stay at the same lodging establishment at some of these sites.
The key to the success of this effort will be the level of interest and commitment of the singles. The objective is to plan and implement singles feast arrangements and activities that provide the environment for the maximum amount of quality interaction.
If you are interested in making this a success, please contact John Dean via e-mail (jdeanpe@yahoo.com) or via telephone (828-243-6669) and provide the following:
1. Your first, second and third choice for an FOT site for singles to attend.
2. Whether or not you are committed to attending those sites if one of your
choices is selected. If you are committed to attending only your first choice,
please note that.
3. Submit your input to John no later than Wednesday,
April 9, 2008.
4. Note if you are interested in serving on a planning committee.
NOTE:You may also indicate your preference at on on-line polling location set up by Ruben Gusman. The link is: http://vote.sparklit.com/web_poll.spark/1072588
On April 10, 2008, a decision will be made whether or not there will be an agreed upon FOT site for singles and where it will be. The decision will be communicated via direct e-mail, SACOG forum and the UCG Singles web site. This will allow time for everyone to complete and submit their Festival Registration Forms as early as the Sabbath of April 12.
Of all the FOT sites listed above, Cincinnati, OH/Northern KY can provide the best facilities for the singles including lodging at the same establishment, exclusive use of a hospitality room for the duration of the Feast, a tour of the UCG home office, excellent dining options and possibly space for a singles dance.
Thanks for your support.
