Welcome Back from the Feast
by Steve Myers

The Feast of Tabernacles was not a vacation. God gave us a seven-day festival so that we may know His plan - and more fully understand what's coming in the near future. What a fantastic time to go, learn and experience God's way of life-and to be engulfed in a godly atmosphere.

How do you feel upon returning from the Feast of Tabernacles? Hopefully you feel wonderfully spiritual. Do you almost want to find the nearest rooftop and shout God's plan because it's been so vividly covered and explained? Have you come back with resolve; with conviction and determination?

We've worshipped, we've celebrated, we've had God's way explained to us and hopefully we've practiced living a Godly life. We had the opportunity to live in a Godly atmosphere that produced Godly behavior. The Feast reminds us about and emphasizes the ultimate relationship of all - the one with our Father and Savior.

You might say through God's Holy Days we've rehearsed the three R's. We practiced: 1) reconciliation, 2) restoration, and 3) rejoicing. These three are themes of all the Holy Days because they bring us into a right relationship with God which helps us understand and more thoroughly live His way.

Just like practicing for the big game, we're rehearsing for the future. We're getting our priorities in the right order. We're getting ready to do something big! There is great purpose in practice. We are learning to reign and rule with Christ. We're preparing for the fact that we are God's family as we look forward to the final fulfillment in the Kingdom of God. Let's never forget God's incredible plan of salvation as we confidently look forward to an exciting future.
